ALLEN COUNTY WAR MEMORIAL COLISEUM

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Originally opened at a cost of $3,000,000 in 1952, the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum was a public event facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana with a capacity of 10,000 people. The facility has served as home to the ECHL Fort Wayne Komets ice hockey team. In 1989, an expansion project saw the coliseum add a 108,000 square foot exposition hall to the building. In 2001, another renovation project saw the coliseum add height to the roof top and incorporating luxury suites, comparable to newer sports arenas. This addition expanded seating capacity to 13,000 people. FInally in 2015, 27,000 square feet of high tech multi purpose space was added.
